What is a Thorough Examination?
In accordance with the specific requirements LOLER 1998 (Lift Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations) forklift trucks must undergo an independent thorough examination at least once a year. The legislation states that fork lift truck users are personally responsible for the safety of the equipment used.

A Thorough Examination is like an MOT for a car that must be carried out and reported on separately from routine maintenance.
